One of a series of pieces made from a tree just up the street from where I live. I’ve never seen bay laurel with this sort of feathery color pattern. I don’t know if it’s due to an organism, soil characteristics, or what, but it’s extraordinary. A very large bowl, suitable for a big gathering and daily use. Finished with hard wax and oil.
