Redwoods are justifiably famous and revered, but I had never heard of dawn redwood until recently. A native of Asia, they grow in Sonoma County as well. This tree was recklessly removed by the electrical utility, and the owner was heartbroken. She now has some treasured keepsakes, and I have a few odds and ends to sell.
